The afternoon of Day 1 was spent visiting penguins. Yeah... yet more penguins... they're cute and all, but on the 4th or 5th time you've seen them... well, they lose their charm.
But anyhow, it's somewhat amusing seeing the penguins walking from their "office" in the sea to their "homes", almost like the thousands of people walking around any major city during business hours. In the case of the penguins, a day of fishing to feed the kids, which again isn't too dissimilar to the life of humans!!!
And of course a kiss for the wife, while Junior looks on...
The next day, it was an 11-hour bus journey. But on the ferry crossing the Magellan Straits, some dolphins decided to play in the wake of the boat. I'm not such a quick photographer, just taking advantage of the digital camera's ability to take dozens of photos a minute, simply by holding down the shutter...

Finally we made it down to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. That much I knew, but it turns out Ushuaia is only about 1000 kms from Antarctica, whereas it is about 3000 kms from Buenos Aires!!! Shame I won't be joining one of the people on my tour, who is leaving us here to take a cruise to Antarctica. But then again, who wants to see more penguins!!!!!
