One very very cold night of camping later, we made it to Cape Town, and went straight to the V&A Waterfront, which I absolutely love, particularly for its views of Table Mountain, which happened to have its "table cloth" clouds on that day.
The next day, we went sightseeing around the cape peninsula. I've been there before and seen it all... but it was nice to see the penguins...

...and finally up the cable car to the top of Table Mountain. It was really rather disappointing to take the cable car up, since both other times I've hiked up and felt a great sense of accomplishment, but I decided to accompany the rest of the group anyhow... and it was so cold and cloudy that they weren't running the abseiling off the side, which would have been fun...
... and finally... after 3 weeks of waking up most mornings at dawn, I've spent the last 3 days in Cape Town catching up on my beauty sleep!!! Going to need it for my next stop... AUSTRALIA!!!
