After only 2 weeks or so in Oceania, it's back to Asia for a 3-week tour of Vietnam... 22 March - 10 April...

Can't think of much to say about Vietnam... other than it was one of the main target countries when I started planning my world tour...
No time to rest after Vietnam as I fly straight to Osaka to start my next tour, of Japan... 11 April - 24 April.

I've been to Tokyo a few times for work, and loved it. (except for the jetlag!!!) Watch "Lost in Translation" for a very realistic portrayal of being in Tokyo... such a strange, bizarre place that seems to be both futuristic and from another planet entirely... I've never quite managed to do much sightseeing though.
One trip I had a series of meetings, last one on a Friday. So I decided to stay an extra day in Tokyo, in theory to see the sights. I hadn't expected to be taken out by some Japanese colleagues on Friday evening, and to be deposited in the hotel at about 6 or 7 am. (of course, only about 10pm in London time so I was still going strong) Unfortunately though, I didn't set any alarms and therefore woke up at 6pm, with the sun already having set. Oops..... So I just ended up going out again that night, made my way to the airport on Sunday morning, and slept all the way back to London. Not a bad outcome at all, but still no sightseeing in Tokyo...
Of course, with all of my business contacts in Tokyo, who knows whether "Craig san" will actually see any sights, even on his holidays, or whether I'll be taken out again to enjoy the Tokyo nightlife!!!
(of course, Kyoto during cherry blossom season will be nice as well...)
What they think about me...
