Finally off the phone... an hour talking to the travel agent and Mexicana, trying to get a refund. Took some time to explain that a) THEY cancelled the flight and their proposed alternative isn't acceptable so they have to give me a refund and b) no, a voucher for use within a year on Mexicana is not particularly useful for somebody living in Europe and travelling around the world for a year! It seems I may get a refund... within 60 days!
Anyhow, given the frustrations of the last couple of days, it's only appropriate that I organise the tour where I'll jump off a bridge!!!! (with a bungee cord attached Mom!!! although that might be little consolation! hehehe...)
It's time to visit New Zealand and the adventure capital of the world - Queenstown. I'll be in New Zealand from 10-19 March 2009.

Last time I almost bungee jumped was in South Africa, where the tour group stopped at the highest commercial bungee jump in the world. So high in fact that the second fall (after bouncing up from the first jump) is actually the second-highest bungee jump in the world! Well... I'm not great with heights and the bridge was HIGH UP!!!

So I managed to find a shameful excuse for not jumping, but then had to listen to the guys (and girls!) who did it talk for the rest of the tour about how much fun it was.
So, hopefully in New Zealand I'll find a slightly less intimidating bungee jump and take the leap!!
P.S. I'm not sure what to do between Cambodia and New Zealand. Maybe just hang out in Australia for a week. But if somebody has a good idea... let me know!!!
