6 months of looking for a job... one interview... for a job I didn't really want... So sooner or later sitting around Croydon would lose its appeal!!!
So I'm going back out on the road. Not quite Craig's World Tour, considering I've been to all these places before, and won't be circumnavigating the globe, but I'm not complaining.
First stop... Mauritius... my round-the-world ticket ought to have expired by now, but it seems somebody made a mistake when it was reissued last year, so I can use it until the end of November. So it's off to Mauritius for a few days.
After that, I go on to one of my favorite places in the world - Cape Town. This time though I'll be doing 2 weeks of sailing, trying to get my "Coastal Skipper" ticket. And after the sailing... 10 days of just chilling out and doing some of the activities around Cape Town. Hopefully I can do some surfing lessons, maybe abseil Table Mountain, who knows...
From Cape Town, it will be off to Buenos Aires. One of my best friends is getting married on 26 December, so it's time for a big Argentine party, with a week on the beach in Punta del Este to follow.
And since I'll already be in the Americas, I'm going to head up to Vancouver for a week, with a short stop over in Las Vegas to try and win some more money on the poker tables. (of course it's probably just as quick to fly back to Europe and direct to Vancouver rather than hop around the US - probably undergoing yet more special scrutiny as a likely terrorist! but anyhow...)
So, two months wandering around parts of the Southern Hemisphere getting my tan back in proper condition, with some skiing thrown in.
And what might 2010 bring? Well, if I still don't find a job, I'll be doing more sailing (Canary Islands to Gibraltar and back, presumably via Morocco), as well as 6 weeks of ski instructor training in Canada in March/April. Should be fantastic!!
What they think about me...
