Ahhhh.... what a nice relaxing week... I normally don't like beaches too much - all that sand gets into everything and the salty sea isn't much better... so I normally stay near the pool (which conveniently also tends to have a bar!)... but this week it was hard to resist having my own little hut on a beach with such fine white sand with no more than 15-20 people around... well, you get the picture... paradise...
And whenever I get myself into another photo or two, you should be seeing a nicely suntanned brown person. Something close to impossible for somebody living in England!!! (glad that's not me anymore!)
Speaking of England, this really has nothing to do with my world tour, but I still get weekly emails about flats that come on the market in London, partially because I'm too lazy to turn it off, and partly to see exactly how far the housing market falls. (British people generally only have two major topics of conversation - the weather and the housing market - so I do my best to fit in...) I would quite possibly still be stuck in London paying off a mortgage if I hadn't reneged on my offer to buy that flat in London, an offer made pretty much at the exact peak of the market. (which of course confirmed my old work colleagues' jokes that the precise time to sell would be the moment I FINALLY decided to buy a flat)
Anyhow, imagine my surprise when I found my old flat up for sale!!! I guess the owner decided to cash out now - hopefully my old furniture ended up with charities rather than in the trash. Anyhow, if any of you have visited my old flat, or simply have about 600,000 British pounds lying around and want to invest in a London flat with views of the river...

Anyhow, off to "the African continent" tomorrow. Soon I'll be in Victoria Falls and then camping our way towards Cape Town...
